1976 Toyota class C-should I buy this? 150,000 miles, no frig, sink, stove need to be put back in?
Iam single and want to camp with my dogs. This is Toyota Chinook with pop up tent on top-very cute. Frig’s for these can be $1000 or more, and with 150,000 miles. I would have to pay to have the stove and sink put back in and buy a frig. I got laid off, so I don’t have lots of extra cash, and, Iam an older lady. What do you think, please? Oh! she wants $1000. obo. Or, should I wait for one in better shape, like my son-in-law suggests, since, I can’t fix it up by myself? thank you so much for your advice.
First off the vehicle is 33 years old and for sure is worn out so I wouldn’t put much into it. I doubt that you will find another one in better condition. They quit making the Chinook 30 years ago so most were junked a long time ago. If you need a refrigerator you can buy a bar size at Target or Walmart for maybe $75. Also a cheap propane stove shouldn’t cost much. Maybe you could use a water jug and bucket for a sink.
