Do you think enough people know about first aid and CPR?

Where people know more about CPR people have a greater chance of survival if they suffer a cardiac arrest. http://www.dilbert.com/fast/1992-11-14 What do you think and why?

Actually, patients who have been struck by lightning and suffer cardiac arrest as a result have a GREAT chance at responding to CPR and defibrillation. Think about it. It’s just that shock that put the heart into a dysrhythmia. Another shock (defib) could get them right out of it.

I do not think enough people know CPR. However, AHA is now strongly pushing Hands-Only CPR, and I am all about it. I hope that it will really push people to be more proactive and not be concerned that they’re doing CPR incorrectly. So while I do think more people need to be educated about it, AHA is doing a great job at encouraging people to learn CPR.
